Below is the Criteria your performer will be evaluated on.
Dance:
1. Seedling:
- Basic understanding of rhythm and movement.
- Limited knowledge of dance terminology.
- Simple dance steps and combinations.
2. Sprouts:
- Improved rhythm and coordination.
- Familiarity with various dance styles.
- Ability to execute more complex dance sequences.
3. Blossoms:
- Exceptional mastery of dance techniques.
- Advanced understanding of choreography.
- Ability to express emotions through dance with precision and fluidity.
Tumbling:
1. Seedling:
- Basic knowledge of fundamental tumbling skills.
- Limited ability to perform basic rolls and cartwheels.
- Developing balance and coordination.
2. Sprouts:
- Proficiency in foundational tumbling techniques.
- Ability to execute more advanced skills like round-offs and handstands.
- Developing flexibility and strength.
3. Blossoms:
- Mastery of advanced tumbling skills (backflips, aerials, etc.).
- Exceptional control and precision in execution.
- Incorporation of tumbling seamlessly into dance or performance routines.
Stunts:
1. Seedling:
- Introduction to basic stunt terminology.
- Learning foundational stunt positions.
- Limited experience in partner stunts.
2. Sprouts:
- Proficiency in basic stunt positions and transitions.
- Ability to perform partner stunts with increased difficulty.
- Developing trust and communication with stunt partners.
3. Blossoms:
- Mastery of advanced stunt techniques and positions.
- Ability to execute complex pyramids and tosses.
- Exceptional teamwork and synchronization in group stunts.
Performances:
1. Seedling:
- Introduction to stage presence and audience engagement.
- Basic understanding of performance etiquette.
- Limited experience in public performances.
2. Sprouts:
- Improved stage presence and confidence.
- Ability to connect with the audience emotionally.
- Experience in performing in various settings.
3. Blossoms:
- Exceptional stage presence and charisma.
- Mastery of performance techniques and storytelling.
- Ability to captivate and engage the audience in diverse performance scenarios.
Overall, Skills All Members will Learn: Listening and fine motor skills, Building positive self-confidence, Team building and situational awareness, Showcasing what is learned during performances to challenge themselves, Through the arts, inspire, motivate and empower healing within the Black community, and in turn the world.
