MDSA Agriculture Warriors is a Health Education course. Students will learn how to interlink the components of health to their everyday knowledge, life, attitude and skills. The children will become Agriculture Warriors, to serve and protect the environment we call home.

Class Description
MDSA Agriculture Warriors is a Health and Environment Education course. Students will learn how to interlink the components of health to their everyday knowledge, life, attitude and skills. Children gain confidence building skills through writing, planting, drawing, researching and more! Monthly field trips are a key way to connect lessons we learn in class to real hands-on experiences. The children will become Agriculture Warriors to serve and protect the environment we call home.
This class includes:
Some of the topics taught during an Agriculture Warrior class include..
- Composting (the how and why on compost, the importance of bugs/insects)
- Gardening (germination of a seed, how to protect soil, the season of plants)
- The Science of your body (digestion system , skeletal system, etc.)
- Geography (location of continents, countries, states, cities)
- Earth's natural wonders (land masses, natural disasters, the weather)
- Writing (sentences, word definitions, vocabulary, grammar)
- Toxins in Food (research ingredients, the effect of the body and mind)
- Field Trips (to: farms, gardens, art / history museums, and more!)
