Class/Team Description:
Welcome to the Flying High Tumbling Afrobats! We are happy that you have an interest in joining us for African Centered Acrobatics focused on self-mastery and overcoming challenges as a team.
Your children will learn to put Mind Over Matter through self-mastery, by focusing on the following skills:
- Listening and fine motor skills
- Building positive self-confidence
- Team building and situational awareness
- Showcasing what is learned during performances to challenge themselves
- Through the arts, inspire, motivate and empower healing within the Black community, and in turn the world.
This class includes:
Beginner:
- Rolls: forward and backward
- Handstands
- Physical fitness with circuits (lunges, jump and jacks, inchworm, etc)
- Bridges
Intermediate:
- All skills from Beginner
- Walkovers: front and back
- Back handsprings
- Round offs
Advanced:
- All skills from Intermediate
- Back tucks
- Combination of skills
- More

- Lifts

Acrobatics/Performance Teams
Instructors: Mama Dahtyah/Mama Olivia/Mama Azia/ Mama Kia
Duration: September 1-December 15,2023(Acrobatics)/September 2023-June 2024(Performance Team)
No Classes: TBD.
Acrobatics Session Time: Friday 5:30-6:15 pm (45 min) Ages 3-6 yrs(Older students welcome from performance team)
Spots Available: 10 in-person(Acrobatics class)
Acrobatics (Energy exchange welcome)Cost per class: $10 suggested donation
Performance Team Rehearsal Time: Friday 6:30-7:30 pm (1 hr) Ages 7-15 yrs
Performance Teams Fees: $50-Registration(includes new t-shirt),$55/month($15 sibling discount with fees not exceeding $100/family)
